An end grain wood preserver for use after cutting treated timber. Ensures lasting preservation when cutting previously treated timbers.
Bird Brand Cut Guard Preserver contains 3 active ingredients inside a water-based formulation with a choice of green or brown colour to closely match the impregnation colour from the sawmill.
Not only does the Cut Guard colour provide a good match to the previous industrial colour but it also shows that an after-market preserver has been applied. For even further protection and to prolong the new look of treated timber, Cut Guard can be applied on all sides of the timber not just the cut side. As Cut Guard is ready for use and contains 3 active ingredients, it will also prevents an attack from wood-boring beetles, termites and wood-rotting fungi. It is also a curative treatment against wood-boring beetles with an extra application. For use only on softwood, though it can still be overpainted when dry with a full range of top-coat products if required.
