ForgeFix Forgefix Pronged T Nuts ZP M6 Bag 10

      15 in stock

Forgefix Pronged T Nuts are a simple and effective product, offering bolting capability into various soft substrates. They are Zinc Plated for increased resistance to corrosion. APPLICATION:Used widely in the soft furnishing trades where strong timber connection is required. Also extensively used in Playground and Climbing Wall manufacturing. GUIDE:Use 6mm bolt with M6 and 8mm bolt with M8 T-Nuts. When installing the T-Nut tap home and the sharp fins pierce the substrate and fix the T-Nut firmly in place avoiding any rotation when tightening. The T-nuts can be used with many bolting products. A T-nut, (also known as a Blind nut) is a type of nut used to fasten a wood, particle or composite materials work piece, leaving a flush surface. It has a long, thin body and a flange at one end, resembling a T in profile. The flanges of T-Nuts often have hooks or serrations on the prongs that sink into a wooden work piece, providing better retention. Zinc coatings prevent oxidation of the protected metal to create a longer lasting finish. It does this by forming a barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged. Zinc oxide is a fine white dust that (in contrast to iron oxide) does not trigger a breakdown of the substrate’s surface integrity as it is formed. The zinc oxide, if left intact, can act as a barrier to further oxidation, in a way similar to the protection afforded to aluminium and stainless steels by their oxide layers. These T Nuts have the following specification: Finish: Zinc PlatedSize: M6Pack: Bag of 10

Nickel plating is probably the most corrosion resistant finish available and is often used on socket screws for electric switch sockets avoiding corrosion and cross contamination. It leaves a bright aesthetic finish and is extremely hardwearing. With slotted screwdrivers it is important to ensure that the tip matches the width of the screw slot, otherwise you run the risk of damaging the screw head. Slotted screwdrivers are available with either Flared or Parallel tips. For the majority of uses the Flared tip is ideal but if the screw needs to be driven below the material surface a Parallel tip screwdriver should be used. Raised heads have both countersunk and raised structure which is designed for aesthetic purposes on all types of ironmongery and lighting applications.Socket Screw Slotted Raised Head Nickle Plated 3.5 x 50mm Bag 100
